Will it cause more vibes than stock?

I haven't done it myself so can't comment on personal experience. Not sure I recall others saying it increases vibes. Granted most have cages or solid motor mounts anyways or bypasses so its usually not something they would likely notice anyways haha

I haven't done it but I'm sure it does. There's nothing to dampen vibrations. I bet you could put a rubber strip or other vibration dampening material between the block and mount. Then some rubber washers on the bolts and it would help.

Or you could just get an OEM carrier barring. It has rubber vibration dampening already included.

Most people know better than OEM...

I just checked mine and after 2 years ~15k I was kind of surprised how loose it seemed. If it starts causing problems I'll look into alternatives.

I hadn't until now. Something to look into doing for sure. That thing is beefy.

Took the initial steps towards the rear bumper fabrication. Removed the stock one, relocated the license plate to the tail gate and marked the cut lines in the rear bed fenders.

Replaced the auto trans shifter bushings on my 1995. Only took about 20 mins. Here is the part number. Got them from dealer for <$2.00 each. You only need two.

My old ones were completely gone. Literally, not even any pieces left to remove. It was definitely loose @ 255,000 miles, but I would have thought it would have been even worse with the bushings completely gone.

Finally installed my Scan Gauge II. Purchased mine from Auto zone when they were on sale. Used the codes for the X gauge and now can read my Auto Trans Temps. Just driving around running errands shows 170, goes up to 177 when sitting at a red light. Water temp is running right at 190-195, so I should be good to go. I am thinking about adding a Transmission cooler, but will install it after it goes through the radiator. TW has me wanting to spend more money than I have. I also purchased a complete set of 555 inner and outer tie rods. Now I have to decide who will do the installation. I have the skill set, just don't know if I want to put my old worn out body through it.

Welcome to TW where we somehow convince you to fix things well before they are broken. It is awesome here, isn't it?

All jokes aside preventative maintenance is key.

So I have been thinking about it for awhile and then got reminded again about an oil filter relocation for my truck since the CS-144 makes it tough to access the stock filter location. Anyone got a preference on a kit?

I’m having high fuel trims at idle and maybe a bit higher than normal in higher RPMs lately. I’ve sprayed every hose and everything I can think of with MAF cleaner and no vac leaks. Only thing I’ve done recently was the coolant bypass on the 04 throttle body. Could that be the issue?

Took a trip out to Sedona this past week for spring break. Did a lot of hiking and ran some mild trails. Did Outlaw Trail and Vultee Arch road. Want to go back when I have more time and do some of the more challenging trails. The amount of pink Jeep tours out was ridiculous. They were pretty inconsiderate on the trail as well. Overall worth it though.

Had to take some pics once I got home before spending $10 to wash the truck because red dirt looks so good on white trucks :D

I crawled under my truck and took photos of things I've been thinking about and new things I noticed. Mainly the slowly leaking steering rack.

Sounds like a vac leak if they get better with high rpm
