installed an All-Pro axle relocation plate to shift the axle back 3/4” and put in the OME D43XL AAL. Once another local 1st gen’r Hooked me up with longer u-bolts, it was all set. The unloaded truck sits a bit too high... oh well. It will be perfect for my road trip with the fridge and all my crap.

At zero miles an hour! I think you’re supposed to be going 80 or something.

So, this is what @GuideWithVegvisir (Brennen) will be looking at every time he stands outside his barracks room from now on.

Absolutely. I sprayed 'til the water ran clear. I'll be giving it either Fluid Film or a petroleum product spray down. I have gallons of used ATF after doing my flush, so I may well use some of that this time. My complaint with Fluid Film is that it seems to wash off easier than petroleum based products/WD40.

Got the front armor installed today! Shrockworks. Absolutely wonderful bumper. So well built and easy to install! Didn't get the winch done yet because I decided to run the control box under the hood. Will update when I have that done.

Now that I'm back home I just want to take a second to thank @Speedytech7 for picking @GuideWithVegvisir and I up at PHX airport.

We made it safely from Phoenix to Colorado Springs with no issues. Truck ran great! I think it's going to make a great mode of transport for Brennen. Not only to and from work, but also providing him a mode of transport on whatever adventures he may find.

The trip across some of the Desert States and in to CO was too short but a great time spending with my kid none the less.

@Speedytech7 I was not kidding when I said, my door is always open for you. When you're headed through CA, in a month or so, don't hesitate to call or text... for just a pit stop, or grab some food, or even a place to stay for the night. Just let me know brother

by 'wash off' do you possibly mean at an outside DIY sprayNwash? or driving through slushy winter slop?
it would seem pointless to put all that fluid film on only to have it all wash off too soon.

I am always there in the winter frequently hosing off the doors, rockers, panels, tailgate, fenders, wheel wells, bumpers, and all parts of frame i can reach until my fingers get numb :) its probably the only reason the lower shield on the fuel tank was not completely roasted (since it was never coated from the get go day 1) Enough good metal left for a good sanding and powdercoat.
so far I have only found sand and decades old dirt settled inside the frame in places where I can easily stick a finger into and feel the bottom. I am fixing on spraying out the iniside of the frame as thoroughly as possible and sticking a hi-res borescope down in there to see what I am working with. Hopefully the equipment records video so I can post for possible evaluation here

so this is what the recent visit to the dealer for a discounted oil/filter change was looking for to record my current mileage
kept fumbling with the keys not being able to locate it o_O

I think I have to be going 90mph to have an unobstructed view of all the little non-digital numbers without the needle getting in the way

I can't say definitively whether it was from just road spray, or the car wash (automatic one that has a spray for underneath, as you drive in). Just seems that this spring, I am seeing more surface rust starting, than in prior years, when my fall rust prevention regime was painting, then spraying with WD40. It was most notable on the OME suspension parts that were put on last year, so this was their first winter. I think I will move back to something petroleum based for at least one application during the year (spring), and perhaps a second with the fluid film (fall). Belt and suspenders.

Just look at the build thread
So my wheel bearing change didnt go as planned and now I'm in need of new spindles. What vehicles are they cross compatible with? All year first gens? Third gen 4Runners? I have a 2003 XCab V6 4x4 ABS.
