Yep. It’s pure. I’m going to cut it with distilled water 50/50.

If you live in a place where in freezes, -25 degree washer fluid with Methanol will work perfectly. AND you don’t need to add another reservoir, use your stock one for the windshield and meth.

Just a cheap at winch pulling on 4 cables in a simple self leveling fashion. I have photos somewhere but might have been in my old cellphone. Or it's in igors build thread..

Any idea how it’s attached to the ceiling? I have a design in mind but I plan on using this to hold maybe 200-300 pounds. Don’t know if the studs can handle it.

Replaced OE Harrison rad. No issues with it, just 15 years old with ~173k miles on it. Paranoid about that strawberry milkshake...

    r1.jpg

Remove grill to replace radiator? Nah, too lazy for that.

    r2.jpg

1 flush cycle of distilled water, just because. Shop that did the timing belt and water pump right before I bought the trugg filled red coolant, but no idea what type. New rad is Denso 221-3138, Toyota Long Life antifreeze 1 gal fill, rest distilled water. I'm probably 40-45% antifreeze, but it doesn't get that cold here.

Truth be told, I didn’t think the black would look good with the tan interior but with all the black trim around the dash it fits, if I didn’t know any better I’d think that was stock. Looks great.

Yeah I was sorta concerned about that too, but it looks like it was meant to be. I think some 4runners had black steering column trim, if I find some at a junkyard I may swap one day.

2x4s bolted to the ceiling into the studs. Dad built it to lift the full rack and tent.

Yeah that sounds about right, 6” lag bolts should do the trick.

This is my current painting rack, I’m just hanging it off pulleys attaches to the angles iron of the garage door. I highly doubt the angle iron has the shear capacity to hold that much weight.

This is partly why Tig welders exist. No molten metal flying through the air.

Why didn’t you pull the bed off? Seems like it woulda been much easier.

Other than having to pull the bed off.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Dropped the valve body on the trans to replace the Lock up Relay Valve bushing. When this bushing is worn, it can cause Torque Converter lock up delay and over heating.

Started fabricating the brackets to mount a transmission cooler under the bed.

Removed the radiator to get better measurements on where to trim the shroud to fit better. Also made it easier to replace the thermostat. And I shoved a stainles steel spring in the lower radiator hose. (no way that thing can collapse now). Flushed the system twice before tearing it down. And reverse flused the heater core.

That’s a big ass transmission cooler. With the Trucool I have I get temps of 140-160 on highway. And I hardly get above 190 around town or going up hills. That’s plenty really.
