    Installed new diff lock actuator and did the grey wire mod. Works great.

    Getting ready to install a AFR with boost cut solenoid but all the information I have found is for turbos

    ...a little over 4 miles after we'd started, we crested the ridge holding back the lake to a view that's worth every minute of the climb. (And descent! - if your knees don't kill you on the way down - :))

    There isn't really a good way to do boost control for a SC. Thats what the pulley is for mostly. There is a bypass valve you could use but Im not sure how effective it'll be at regulating the boost on a blower.

    Why do you want to do that anyways?

    Yessir. I usually call it bank 1 sensor 1 or the AFR sensor. Everywhere online they were referring to them as upstream & downstream. So I figured I'd get a quicker response calling them that. Which exactly what I got. Thanks @eon_blue !

    You can use the bypass but it won't control boost as much and release it (either on or off). I've seen a guy use it with his twin charged setup; to open when the turbo was spooling.

    @Rldanie boost is generally controlled by your foot as the S/C builds boost linear with your engine speed. Pulley's will change how quickly boost builds and what you max is. Turbo's are exponential and need a waste gate to control boost.

    I think some of the snail type chargers (Rotrex) have a more complex drive that allows somewhat non-linear boost profiles but still not exactly "boost control".

    I don’t know why you think you need a boost cut solenoid. Positive displacement superchargers do not need them. They use a sized pulley for target pressure and a bypass valve for idle and cruising.

    How does a blower regulate air? I'm assuming once target psi is reached there is a bypass. Where does that air then go since the maf accounted for it?

    Those ones show as being for the auto trans, the wiring is different length for the manual trans Tacomas

    Don't know why they made them different lengths but for some reason they are, I initially ordered the wrong rear one awhile ago and had to exchange it

    Blower speed is linear with engine speed. Your max boost is only achieved at max engine speed. Therefore, when you are getting a blower, you need to get a proper sized pulley to meet your desired boost. Once installed, you will never exceed the mechanical limitations of the ratio between your engine and supercharger so no danger of over boosting. To my knowledge, there is no boost control for blowers (or any supercharger).

    Turbo's need a way to control boost as the turbo spools exponentially with the engine speed. This is why turbo's are superior to superchargers; they spool to your desired boost level much quicker in the engine's power band (as long as you pick a properly spec'ed turbo).

    The bypass valve just allows air in front of the supercharger to bypass the screws and go directly into the engine without being pressurized. This is only done during idle and low engine loads as the supercharge efficiency is too low in this range.

    Another reason I don't understand why there is any advantage to a blower over a turbo. If you can install a blower I'm sure you can a turbo.
