I saw one when working by myself at the border of Colorado and Wyoming doing a sound survey in the middle of literally no where as part of a wind farm study. I turned around and got a change order and budget for another person to come with me. F that. LOL.

It’s what the boss suggested as a solution. I no longer work there. I have a photo of it somewhere. I was in Tie Siding. Snow drift like no other. Where the company F-150 got stuck and a 1995 Toyota pickup got us out.

Anyone have suggestions for transfer case skid?

I got the 4x innovations ifs and trans skids, but they don't have a transfer case skid.

Skidrow Offroad makes a solid transfer case skid, been running it for a few years myself

I don't think Budbilt makes a tcase skid, they have an IFS skid and then a big transmission skid that covers the trans and tcase. Though maybe they do make a separate one for it

That's one of the options I'm looking at. Was hoping to get some feedback on it.

I've seen their cross member. I haven't seen their skid.

I was looking at the cross member, but it eliminates the factory crossmember... which is what the 4xinnovation trans skid bolts to.

The Skidrow has served me well for the 3.5 years I've been wheeling my truck. Lot of battle scars on it but it's still in solid shape. One time a few years ago I came down real hard directly on it onto a rock and it pushed it up a bit into the tcase. Didn't damage anything but had to get the skid pressed flat again lol. Definitely saved my tcase from getting destroyed though. Its 3/16 steel so it's not immune to bending if hit hard enough

this stuff maybe can beat the FF fluid film challenge and i am stoked to give it a shot as i found FF to be some real undesirable and nasty stuff :crapstorm:
had to goto the 3rd gen forums to find this product from a Canadian

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEqjyip0Kmk

its supposed to be over 50 degrees here today so i can fire up the compressor and give it a shot!
only thing i am concerned about is what effect it will have on the old & brittle undercoat under my Tacoma
