i should give this Canadian product another shot in this spot, i was not sure it was holding up after a heavy rain seemed to wash it on out through the door drain holes soon after application
i now have 5 gallons of 'Salts Gone' rinse so i do not have to hand scrub the scum off the paint, which will remove this stuff very easily (soap and sponge)

its hard to tell though on black paint if its holding steady since its a clear see-thru gel and it does attract dirt on top of that

Mine was a very audible chirp at first. Matched the timing of it to my wheel rotation to confirm it was in fact the bearing.

Had to get hauled home last Friday for a clunk in my rear axle. Took it apart today and found two ring gear bolts had worked their way out and chewed up the carrier.
A new E-Locker assembly has been acquired and the 4:88 gears have been ordered.

Mother Effer:D.... I wasn't sure yet if I was gonna need performance coil overs to get rid of that jarring crap going over a manhole cover in the road at 35 mph....
And that was a question I had as well. Was how much are the parts to do a proper rebuild? Thanks for answering

not to sound like a smart ass, but you seem handy enough.

did you think of removing the rear DS and just placing her in 4WD? Could drive home on the front shaft alone as if it was FWD, no?

Better bumps stops also helped, queue shameless plug for Durobumps. My rebuilt Kings and Durobumps have been a great combo

No. Not with those bolts like that. The ring gear would still be spinning even without the driveshaft.

He could've pulled the 3rd, pulled the carrier, unbolt the ring gear, reassemble, and then drive it home in FWD, but that's not exactly an easy task.

damn that sucks. Reminds me of the old issues with ECGS assembled thirds. I recall a few people stating that their bolts had backed out too.

I do appreciate the input/feedback man.
I'll have to look into this durobump thing. I remember seeing a thread about someone making bumpstops, and to be straight up I have no idea how replacing the bump stop will help. So this tells me I have much to learn with a coil over suspended front end. :DOnly have owned torsion bar(old Nissan pickup and later Cruisers) and then solid axle stuff.
So the input from real world users, and not theoretical users, is much appreciated:cool:(I am still grateful for the other answers too from anyone lol)

I REALLY need to do this! After our wheeling trip at the end of the month, I plan on tearing the front end apart on the Taco to rebuild and reinforce it. Need to get shit organized.

I found this on Craigslist. It was down south mother sports. https://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/pts/d/san-diego-king-shocks-rod-ends/7064723086.html I got the o rings and oil from them to. They hooked it up. Also found a set of 650lbs springs like new from another tw member for $40 shipped.
