My favorite ad ever. The ladder always has me fucking rolling.

I'd like to thank you all for making what would be a mundane work day and turning it into entertainment.

That first step is a leap of faith, and it's bent!
And with both lanterns, they must be afraid of the dark.
And who puts padded rolls in an RTT?
And don't get me started on that rip roaring fire!

They will need them to sleep on the ground, because they won't make it up into the tent, especially after tossing back a few more IPA's.

Yeah but you're a real wheeler, a real enthusiast. That's different.
You can only rip on those things when the hipsters are doing fake shit for the instantgram. If you're a hipster and a real enthusiast, its okay. Being fake will get all aspects of your existence ripped up on the internets :D:rofl:

Went to the local Autozone after work to have them check my battery. It was bad. So I went ahead and got the X2 since it was 20% off and $18 back with core. about $253 total. Feels nice on the start up. Now, to just address the valve cover leak. which i am capable of doing myself, however also lazy to do.

What's real? It's all relative. Shit I feel fake af because I do a bigger trip twice a year (if I'm lucky) with minor day trips once or twice a month. And I have barely been able to do that. Truth is I don't have the ability to do hundreds of miles offroad every year like Brett, Dan or Ryan or other west coasters can, and I don't beat on my rig as often as I use to because I get more joy on a multi day offroad/exploration trip than trolling around the same damn offroad parks I have run a hundred times. Sometimes I hate my truck. So much time and energy working on it to get ready for a trip and I hate the hours spent in the garage. Of course that tune changes when I'm on it, but it's easy to get burnt out. Couple that with the fact that the trucks never "done" and you have a never ending money pit.

"Hey, we need to take a "cool" photo for marketing purposes to show our overlanding cred. Let's completely break most of the rules for a campfire (use an existing spot, clear a 10' diameter space etc) and just light some kindling on this grass right here." - Marketing wonk probably

Oh come on, that's not accurate!

Can you photoshop in a pumpkin spice latte beer? Then it would be accurate.

Where the hell is the dometic? Seriously! You expect me to drink beer out of that silly little cooler.

I heard "Grow the B, Get the V" but that has, sadly, not been the case with me. Or maybe it's because I'm an asshole :notsure:

Yup, I am hoping to redo my bed/build some holders and be done with the truck for a while. Wanna get back to my two wheel roots and use the truck as a basecamp/transport vehicle. I need something I can do that gives me the rush I used to get from wheeling in the times I can't go on a week long adventure.

Very stoked to see you get the new tires on and finish retubbing.

Thanks, Man that sucked!! It is nice having tires that aren't sticking like 3 ft per side outside the wheel wells, looks less monster trucky now which is what I like. I think toyotas look best with a tall skinny tire on them.

I've been trying to move closer to wheeling but cant escape here for some reason. Now that I'm going to be working for myself I'm hopeing to go on more wheeling trip with a schedule that I set.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

    1) So here's the problem with your entire line of thought. The guy who originally asked about an Optima battery doesn't even have a winch.

    2) The guy was told that he should look at any other AGM other than Optima because Optimas suck (in general)

My point was that is a myth... it's bullshit. Never said that Optima can not suck on any application... just that the rumor that they suck (in general) and that they aren't going to burn down your truck just because they were made in Mexico (a point that was attempted at one point, not by you)

Then the point that Optimas need some sort of special charging system to work was brought up. I offered that an upgraded charging system is not needed to run Optimas.

That's where you came in... you're original post in this particular discussion quoted my post... you said absolutely nothing about an Optima, you just took out one piece of the conversation (big 3) and told me I was somehow wrong about it, because winching, or something. But in reality, I agree with you that the Big 3 is a useful upgrade (I just haven't gotten around to it) but the point remained... and STILL REMAINS the big 3 upgrade is not necessary to run an Optima... or an AGM... and especially in the case of the guy who asked the question... that doesn't even currently have a winch.

I tried to tell you that what you were saying didn't have anything to do with what was being discussed... I tried again to tell you AND that I actually agree with you that the Big 3 is a useful upgrade... You still wanted to argue... when no one else was even arguing about it.

And then you decided that it would be cool to stock my build page for two hours and talk shit on how I must not know what I'm talking about because the use of my truck does not meet with your approval.

And somehow... after that... It's me that's being childish and argumentative?
