How long do the wipers typically last? I know place and weather change it everywhere.

Mine last a couple years at most. The ice on the windshield is what ruins mine so fast. I usually have a cover for snow and ice but sometimes on the weekends I forget to use it.

I use rainx windshield treatment, but just get the cheap Michelin wipers from Costco once a year when they have that rebate. It's like 7 bucks total for the two wipers.

Unless you have a front locker and wheel hard. Then fuckkk those axles.

Oh and I replaced my ac idler pulley the other day. I thought this noise was the fan clutch bracket but turns out it was just a $30 pulley.

I forget I have a Costco card all the time and miss all the deals or just forget to go. Overactive brain and stuff.

Was the pulley bad or was it just the bearing? You can swap those out in 10 minutes for about $6.

The bearing but I saved the old one to do that. Though the one I had I am not sure how it is servicable.

It looks like the one that came off the truck is not the original, no snap ring.

Hmm, maybe it’s a press fit? I don’t think I’ve seen one of those before.

Excuse the commentary but this shows both bearings, both seemed press fit and the newest one almost looked liked there was some sort of epoxy glue on it too.

New one was a Dayco brand.

It's a press fit, and they're not that hard to swap out. I warmed the pulley up on the top of my wood stove, and put the bearing in the freezer. Dropped right in.

That's what I do for all and any press fit bearings and bearing races, the freezer part

You got the bearing size for the press fit version?

If getting the new one in is tricky, thread the axle nut on the end of it and use a hammer to tap it in. Makes quick work of it. Axle nut on the end is imperative though, without it you'll booger up the threads of the new axle with the hammer.

thanks man. Yeah I got the drivers side installed all good there and the pass side one came out much easier.
So far so good just taking forever

side note for those with wheeler lines. I have a new set to install. Do I need to do anything to get them to work with the stock Tacoma (not tundra) caliper? Or just bolt bleed and go.
    Hugs and kisses thank you

The Wheelers SS brake lines should work for the Tacoma as long as they don't specifically say they're for Tundra calipers. I know they sell SS brake lines for our trucks, but I got mine on eBay (Stoptech brand).
