Same if you're on the California side of the border... though Nevada is starting to fine people more.

Most of our fines come from water crossing fails though.

If there was a fine to be given in this situation...

Has everyone forgotten about the car... parked in the middle of a right of way? You know... the "fire" road... that's there, not only for recreation, but more importantly, emergency services... like "fire" personnel.

We went around the vehicle... yes... just like if there was a boulder in the road. And we made less distubance than the 5 or 10 vehicles that had driven 20 yards off the trail to get around the fallen tree the Subaru parked nosed up to... plus we removed the tree so it would no longer be an obstical in the road.

You can sit in judgement, and say this about Colorado, or that about Utah, or this other thing about Idaho. Bottom line is we drove around 2/3rds of the width of the trucks to get around a vehicle parked in the middle of the road, blocking access. THAT is what would have, and should have, gotten a fine.

Agreed, I don't think anyone rational could look at this situation and blame you guys a bit. Nor should they.

However, California does things which defy logic, simply for the virtue of being CA.

Report his plate and picture. Subaru needs some way of knowing that he's an inconsiderate idiot.

I'm not saying I would have done anything any different. Just not post a picture going around because of the internet nazis.

I can see a headline about Karen being traumatized that these offroaders were harassing her and a hole bunch of fictional facts being made up to suit there narrative. Just something to keep in mind with the internet.

Just saw a case of this on the morning news. Lady calling the cops about "A black man harassing her and her dog," getting a hysterical. Guy filmed most of it. He had asked her to put the dog on its leash. She was dragging it around on its hind legs by the collar as all this was going on. Good outcome though, her employer, along with thousands on the internet, saw it and let her go, and she returned the dog to the shelter where she had gotten it.

I love Arizona for the fact that you CAN drive off of a designated forest road up to 100 yards, as long as you do not leave ruts. Of course, we are getting more and more refugees from the Federal Republik of Kalifornistan every day trying to change our laws to meet their needs.

Worked on my rear frame repair. Dropped the fuel tank, cut LH spring and rear section of frame off, and cleaned some weld zones with wire wheel. Didn't have a lot of time to spend on it. Hope to make the LH frame side tomorrow evening.
