    Sweet truck.

Mind if I ask you what your rack set up is? I’m looking at doing something similar with my DC and am hoping that the front and rear line up level (yours seems very level or close to it) without the front being permanent.

I have a can high topper too FWIW.

    Two things.

    1) replace the valve on the Front Runner jerry. It's shit. Just go to the hardware store and grab any old metal ball valve and swap it. My Dad used lever one which works great.

    2) if you do #1 as above, you never have to remove the jerry can. Just make sure the space below the valve via a notch or drilled out hole. Now you have water available at any time while leaving it in the holder. Just twist the lever and hold you bottle under it. Boom. It's awesome.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll go grab a new valve! And yes I notched the angle iron so that I don’t have to remove it! I’m excited about that!

    Great idea

And it’s funny. On their website they sell an upgraded brass fixture/tap you can buy separately. Ummm...it’s a $60 water jug, think you might want to use it in the first place?

I changed the air freshener to a new one, one time.
Dude that is such a badass install. Do you think it’ll get hot in there with no airflow? And do you have it on a switch up front?

Pulled the trigger on an order of Raptor Liner to paint my vehicle. I opted for Raptor as it can be color matched to the existing color. I wanted to avoid the need to paint the door jambs, under hood, area between cab and bed, etc. I will also be replacing the bed and passenger side doors, as this area had been heavily repaired prior to my acquiring the truck. I was lucky enough to find all of these parts from a wrecked vehicle in central Florida. Even more fortunate that they were the same color as my truck. I have begun by debadging. I plan to paint the badges black, and reinstall. And so it begins!

If possible weigh your truck before and after. I know there are a lot of questions about this mod's effect on weight but no definitive answer.

    Good luck!

My son just did his second gen in my garage. Went and picked a color he liked from the paint shop. I am keen on the idea, but for me would require a complete disassemble because the difference would bother me. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out. Highly recommend thinning the mix a touch for a finer texture on the body itself and do a thicker texture on bar work and stuff. Be careful what PSI you spray at also :)

The 1st Gen: All pro 3” lift (650 lbs coils, expedition rears with bilstiens),Timbren rear bumpstops, ubolt flip, diff drop, carrier bearing drop, 33’s on beadlocks ,ARB Bumper, winch, hand throttle, ARE canopy, roof bars, poly bushings all around minus the body mounts. The 2nd Gen: Leveling kit, roll up tonneau cover. 265/75/16’s
It gets a little warm, but hasn’t shut off on me yet. I only have 33’s, so I’m not too worried about over heating it. I’ve got a buddy with 35’s on his, so I think I’ll go try to air up his tires on a hot day and see how it does since I plan to go to 35’s when these tires wear out. A lot of the 2nd gen guys put them in the cubby hole in the bed, and mine is starting at whatever temp is in the cubby hole and not the heat of under the hood, so...? I had a lot of nay sayers telling me that was an awful spot to put it because it would be too loud and it would overheat. My girlfriend fell asleep to the humming of the compressor when I was airing up this weekend though. I do need to run a stainless steal braided leader hose off of it though, because the hose gets hot! I blew the hose coming right out of the compressor off after filling up tire number four last weekend from 10 psi to 35 psi (That woke my girlfriend up from her nap!). I put a second hose clamp on it for the time being, but that hose was hot and very flimsy. I’ve got sound mat and a vinyl kit on order, so when that comes in, I’ll rip the interior out and clean up/finalize the install. If it gets to the point where it’s overheating, I’ll cut holes on both sides of the storage box and put a fan to circulate the air through the storage compartment. It is on a switch in the dash!00EA22B6-3227-49EA-9D88-A3B2D62B3B03.jpg
I elected that spot, because I could turn the compressor on and off through the window without having to open the door. It’s been pretty nice so far!

Ordered the Throttle Position Sensor from PartsGeek.com got it next day and it is the 89452-35030 part # needed for the 2003, 2004 Tacoma. Installed it and it works great. So now there is a way to get the sensor without having to buy the entire throttle body.

    Parks Geek Part Number: W0133-2744128

I’d love to see how it turns out! I’m planning on doing this sometime between now and next summer. Also interested in the weight.

Keen, I think I will order one for the spares box :) thanks for letting people know

Edit - Ordered. Says they only had 6 in stock btw. Like that they point out specifically it's not offered by the dealer separately. Good chit.
