Something yall should consider after lurking for the past cpl days is laser cutting a washer of sorts that goes between the strut hat nuts and strut tower

This way instead of all the force being applied to the the strut tower where the nuts are (a small surface area probably causing the stress cracks) the force would be distributed to a greater surface area

Same way people who make bumpers weld d shackles to plates welded to the bumper vs welding the shackle straight to the bumper

If you can believe it I'm calming down in my old age. :D

And I'm tired of fixing shit.

$7k? You could damn near buy another 1st gen for that.

I bought a used engine for $300 and swapped it myself in a weekend.

Man do I hate chasing intermittent electrical issues. Just trying to get my aux. and extra backup lights hooked back up. Ultimately traced it to a bad ground. Made for a long, hot day.

    Same story for my camry

The key in dinger would turn on and off intermitently plus it wouldnt start so obviously a bad ignition cylinder right?

The key in dinger had nothing to do with it not starting

It was a bad ground from the battery and powertrain

Made a simple mount rail for my mountain bike on long drives so it's not flat in the bed and I can pack other stuff around it.
Took a piece of uni-strut and put those two giant phillips head screws on the corners of the bed through it to bolt it down. I can use the strut as a tie-down point for other gear too.

This was the best solution I could come up with to keep my bike secure and out of the way in the bed while i'm wheeling. Should hold up good for my moab and colorado trip

You can get a 4x4 for less than half what hes asking in my neck of the woods, if he can really sell it for that much i may just make a business of buying and shipping toyotas

Not knocking the truck its actually really well built but damn
