So, what do you think of pressing in a set of SPC's x-axis joints?

    hqdefault.jpg

I don't see any reason why you couldn't retro fit these in place, and they're shrouded so less worries about heims in a vulnerable location.

I'm not quite to that point yet, but eventually I'll trash the bushings MCM gives and need a better option.

Do they sell them individually and in the right sizes? That would be my only question. Not totally sure how I'd retro fit them. But would try it for sure.

They have lots of different sizes and widths in their builder parts catalog. I figure there's one that's close enough. Might have to alter the arms a little bit.

I bought some Whitelines, but then returned them in favor of the sonoransteel. They were out of stock when I wanted to purchase as well, but I emailed the owner and was told they'd have more in a week or so. I'd recommend trying the same, if you want to give them a try.

Question for you all, the last few days I’ve been hearing what sounds like a bird fluttering when I accelerate from a stop. The sounds goes away at approx 20mph and doesn’t happen at all at higher speeds or when breaking.

Any ideas what it could be?

well this is a cool idea but not enough options to do it comfortably.

The 1.5'' weld in sleeves should work but that means you have to use the 1.25'' joint which means you're using a .39'' bolt, which is tiny.

And they don't even make a 1.5'' joint.

Then theirs the problem with the width. You'd need to make some custom misalingment spacers to work correctly as well to get them to fit in the mounts right.

So at this moment, not super likely. But in future as they add more sizes maybe.

I'm getting a whine. Even more so now after i installed that crawlbox. I just crank the music up. I figure race trucks make race truck noises. Lol

Mine sounds like a kazoo for the first 20-30 seconds after I start it in cold weather. I think it’s a pulley.

Maybe all of our trucks have the ‘rona.

Hey folks, looking for opinions on a new suspension setup before I pull the trigger. I'm still on OEM stuff so anything would be an upgrade but I want to do it once, do it right.
It's for a 3.4L 4x4 xtracab with factory bumpers/everything but plans to add skids and sliders in the future. I am hoping for a 1-2in lift and do not carry much weight (soft topper, minimal equipment.). I live in california so I do a lot of high speed highway driving with a lot of twisty mountain roads/ coastal roads but also want to go to local OHV parks and plan to make trips to mojave, moab, black bear pass, etc. in the future.

Got the bed and the fender off last night!14842464-97E7-4D09-8775-7A7042CA7E72.jpg5B2397BF-2442-46AC-9C16-35D6D960C7C7.jpgPulled a couple of measurements and corner to corner from the bed mounts is off by 1.25” Nothing is obviously bent, so planning on putting the bed on, trying to get it aligned with the cab and have someone follow the pickup to see if it runs straight down the road. If it does and everything lines up, I’ll box the frame and leave it, if not, I’ll take it to a shop that can handle the frame repair. Flatbed is still in the plans, just taking it one step at a time.

Yeah, it deserves better than that. I’ve got way too much time into it to give up on it. I really lost motivation right after it happened. 4 weeks away at work really helped me get excited about it again.

Hey, anybody with LT have issues with the outer tie rods contacting the lower control arm at full lock/droop?

It does not seem to be the issue if i flip them driver to passenger.

hmm I don't remember that. But I think I had it like the lower photo. Shouldn't be an issue.

Hmm maybe I had it normal:
