have about 2 threads showing over the nut with the pin extenders & AAL, I may or may not change em out for longer ones. I'm good with it not backing out.

Four or five years ago I paid like $130 for a spark plug cover. The valve covers with the stock red paint(type r) were worth $300 back then.

Im trying to get an alternator for my truck. It crapped out half way across the island in the middle of the night. i plan on keeping my truck so I didnt wanna go buy a remanufactured/rebuilt unit. I really dont like the dealership on the island but I wanted a stock unit that would last me another 150k. I figure i'd try out the dealership and give em a call.
I told em I wanted the alternator for a tacoma with a tow package, but since my truck didnt come with it he couldnt sell it to me. Then I ask him for the price of the one I need and he said he will call me back. After couple hours I call em back, but different person and they need my vin again. Ok, whatever, tell me what it costs so I can get the money. Wait, no listed price and i'll need to bring it in since they need to change it for me. I told him fuck no, whats it cost? But he hung up. Damn it, so I dont like the dealer but I was willing to drop $300 or so for a new denso alternator.

I forgot about the whole vin thing, but i'd rather have the other alt but was willing to support the dealer and buy what they want. After they wanted me to take it to them, fuck that.

I remember back in 02...I bought TRD stickers since my mom has a trd sport and no one else could get em. I still have two of em.

installed weathertech mud flaps on the front

gave them a good yank, they are stiff but should still bend if I catch them on a rock
since I can bend them with my hand and they don't look like they want to rip out

there still is a tiny difference between weathertech and stock along the flare, about 4mm
gap where you can see some paint rub from the stock flaps. pretty insignificant

I took my front ones off yesterday and trimmed 4" off.
Took about 30 minutes to do both and re-install.

No clips were damaged during removal, so I was happy.

ya I was thinking of trimming the stocks, and got a fresh pair of Wiss
cutters just for it, but decided to see how the weathertechs roll before
I attempt to mangle the stock flaps...

I looked at Weathertech, but they didn't match the stock ones, so I would have to get all 4.

With removal, measuring, cutting, sanding for smooth edges and re-installing, it took right at 30 minutes and at least to me, it looks like it came that way from factory.

    Here is a better picture.

Do it with Tin snips and you won't have to remove or sand them. Took me 10 minutes max. Just measure whatever length you want to cut off of them, cut a straight line across at that length, and then use the part that you cut off (with the curves still in tact) for your template for your new curves.

Just installed my new satoshi...and realized my custom mixed green wasn't as close to Timberland Mica as I thought. Oh well, close enough for now. Will order the correct color from duplicolor and do it right next time around.

I see it there and the other. I kind of like the contrast but if it were my truck it'd drive me crazy lol

It will drive me crazy too, but time to work on the truck has been scarce. Took me since october to finish this working on it here and there. Eh, long range goal - fix color.
