I would recommend taking that bug shield off also  I used to have one and really liked it until I forced myself to take it off and get used to it. I look back now and can't understand why I ever liked it in the first place!

It also caused more scratches than it protected and didn't deflect anything, so there's really no benefit unless you're totally sold on the look. IMO, they just look weird with a plate bumper (esp. with the three hoops like you have)

The actual deflector didn't scratch anything (my EGR didn't touch paint), but it caused small debris to get trapped and fly around underneath the deflector. And it also caused some deep water spots where it would trap water and shade it from evaporating.

I never found it actually protected it either. Maybe it's just my experience though and my opinion ;)

I drove 45 minutes to pick up my 89-year old dad, drove back to my house, hooked up my boat and trailered it for the first time with my 2013 DC and drove another 45 minutes to my favorite lake. We caught about 35 sand bass in about 2 hours, cleaned them and drove back home.

Was surprised at how well the truck pulled my boat...I had previously pulled it with a 2010 Nissan Titan 8 cylinder and was a little worried...

However, my Tacoma did a great job and I was pleasantly surprised...
