What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Fiesta is 2011, with 38k miles, out of warranty. Changed my oil at 37500, saw the axle seal issue. I wish I had changed the oil at 35900, then I could have had work done under warranty.

 

^Out of bumper-to-bumper warranty, but still within the powertrain warranty, right?

Nice HU, I really like it, but I wish when I wasn't on the Nav screen, Robobitch wouldn't pipe in "Traffic Ahead".
It's irritating when listening to music, and when listening to the news channel, "Traffic Ahead" seems to always mask over 10 seconds of the traffic report!

Also, I can't leave my iPod plugged in. Every now and then, it'll turn on by itself. Not sure if I have a bum cable or what.

 

Stick with the OEM plugs. They're the best you're going to get.
There's a lot of marketing hype over multi-electrode plugs, and even one that has a "capacitor" that boosts the spark... it's snake oil.
NGK or Denso are the best plugs for your engine.

 

Turn off the traffic alerts.

I have a 7160 and mine does the same thing with the iPod. Excepting I like the Garmin navigation, the Kenwood is a piece...

 

Go to nav and tap the yellow traffic button and disable that shit. That's what I did anyway because that's just about worthless. I'll also add that my buddy had problems with his iPhone plugged in doing weird shit too. I have an Android and I pair it via Bluetooth and streaming music or having phone conversation is a breeze. If I shut off my truck when I'm listening to music it automatically resumes the track when I get back in and turn it back on. Pretty nice feature.

 

If I disable the alerts will they still appear on the map?

It is surprising how accurate it is on ETA. A lot of times I've hit traffic, and the GPS (I had traffic on my Nuvi as well) would give an ETA and my arrival (on a 60-120 minute commute) was within 5 minutes of the estimate.

I don't think so. The traffic alerts have never been helpful to me.

 

Cant see the photo because of the computer I'm on but judging by the text in the link, I would say it is a DeMello bumper. Try a search for pictures of that to verify if it is.

Took my little 5 lugger through some mud. Had a lot of weight in the back and was very happy about not getting stuck. Had a great time though.
