What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Had my icon lift installed and uca. I can't say enough about the incredible service I had from 4wheel parts. Hope you can see the work they did. Not only did they torque wrench bolt but they marked each to make sure they aren't backing out!! Thanks 4wp of Va Beach especially to "Gunny" and my installer Chris.... I will be back.

 

Just installed my ImMrYo mirror relocation bracket. Very well made, easy to put on and makes a world of difference with improving your view. I would recommend this to everyone.

Big "props" to my in-laws for secretly doing their homework and finding out I really wanted a set of Redline hood struts for Christmas.
One of the best minor mods out there.

 

Took the truck and the pup in the snow for the first time. Both enjoyed it!

 

Replaced the worn out radiator support bushings with poly ones.

 

Decided to Install a new Toyota battery. Old one from factory is approximately 4 years old with 38.5k miles; still works flawlessly in mild weather but I'm going to Yosemite next week and need a battery that won't crap out in 12* weather.

 

Way to be pre-emptive!!...

 

Poweraid throttle body spacer Brought my truck to the drag strip and ran a 15.5 @ 87 mph. Not too bad. I'm getting my 5100 lift @ 2.5, a 1 inch block under the leaf springs, and 265/70/17 BFG KO2's on the 4th. Can't wait!

Go 48"....from what I've read...that's the best all-around. There's a 60", but that's extreme off-road...

Thanks for the reply. My parents for me a 60" for Christmas, but I can't mount it in my bed because of my tonneau cover so I am going to exchange it for a 48. I was just checking that I was doing the right thing.

I got the 60" myself. Fits in my long bed. Never used it yet but figure I'd rather have it be too tall than too short.

 

Short bed problems.


I do love my short bed though.

don't guess I did this to it as much as i did this for it. ordered the new H4 12953BWX2 Philips X-treme Ultinon LED Bulbs. I blew the digital ballast on my HID's during a trip and had to rob the ballast from my Fog lights. during the process of buying new ballast I instead decided to go with these. They are said to be just as bright as my HID's but have a better cut off. We shall see.
Also installed the Pop N lock tailgate lock, will uninstall tomorrow and send back for refund as it failed to work correctly and anything that fails on install will not be placed on my truck. I understand everything has lemons off the line, but upon reading these things seem to really be a POS. kind of sad as I was excited to finally secure my bed.
