And in poking around today, trying to get a good idea of what hoses I can replace easily, I broke the infamous by-pass coolant hose fitting. I barely touched it and it snapped. What a bitch.

I got my vintage Ranger Splash wheels all cleaned up today. All I need now is a set of tires for them. I will try to bolt them up anyway and take some pics, so you guys can see what they look like on a 5-luggy Taco.

nice! they put a lot of ugly ass rims on the rangers back in the day but these were cool. I too chose to go with something OEM'ish in looks for a clean finish.

15x7s but What do they weigh?
    offset?

Not sure on the offset, and they are heavy as hell.

I have a feeling they will fit the Taco very similar to my S197 Mustang wheels, which is just about right. I will try to bolt them up next weekend and report back.

ha, I bet. the stock 15x6s appear to be around 20lbs per some research. I'm not 100% on that though.

Added this air oil separator the other day. Moroso. Put an extra bend in the bracket it came with. Pre-plumbed lines from OEM location before it came in.

When I had the intake manifold off for the coolant bypass pipe replacement I notice that cylinder 4 had a lot more gunk in it that the others bc the way the pcv is plumbed. This will reduce the gunk well. Works so far.

Moroso P# for kit is 85481. Got it for $126 off of Amazon but it looks like the cost just went up as of 1/16/20 to $149.

excellent. I think I should do the same, eventually. I actually would love to replace the stock bench with two buckets. I haven't looked into yet though. I know the trans tunnel looks like it'll be a pita to work around.

Forgot to post, replaced tires with the obligatory 235/75/15's cooper at3 4s's. no noticeable power loss, rubs a tiny bit when going over speed bumps. shop that put em on were sure they would rub every time I turned the wheel...lolIMG_0029.jpg

Hey this is a little post if anybody was thinking of installing lights under their lil 5 lugs.

    This is the final product:
    IXqv4IrkO1p09-XjuOh_P3jGoL1T3cCI4VGb_F1r_aa79960371ee6bad4d762f2042d9ac6b02ebafd2.jpg

These are the lights I used:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07J5XGSLN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    The Switch i used:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CVWVGNQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    Wiring kit:
    https://www.walmart.com/ip/Auto-Dri...xmjiPhokGgjhDTassjGFW_C4_Lv3IzmoaAgIFEALw_wcB

    My process:
I used the Walmart wiring kit ~ $10, it comes with a red circular switch. Its a nice switch but doesn't look factory. For another ~ $8 I bought a factory style switch which fits in the tacomas dash. My three lower left slots are full. I pulled the blank from one of the upper left ones, and it was a PITA to route those wires. I routed the harness from the battery to the dash. The main output wire from the harness went through the channel of the frame, to under the drivers door. The output through a hole in the frame under the door, soldered to one light . This is the style with a few LED's in a plastic housing. I used big clear zip ties to attach the light against the frame. This throws light strait out the side, towards somebody's ankles if they were standing. For the passenger side I had a length of dual shielded wire. I zip tied it along the stock routing near the base of the hood. (Be careful of the exhaust manifold.)Same process through the channel of the frame to the light again. Im sorry I dont have pictures of each step, I broke my ass on some ice and my phone doesnt work.

@maverick4x2 sorry for the delay, the fire extinguisher bracket had a middle opening for a small nut and bolt – I found some random bolt and screw (Bowl of screws and bolts) to hook up to one of the opening in the Tacos back panel

been having a big blast of winter in the PNW and I have been using the auto LSD a lot to help with traction. Now the LSD light doesn't come on and my brake and ABS warning lights keep staying on then going off. Checked the fuses and brake pads and no problems. Guess I need to get the codes read. Anyhow I recently added 6 inch LED lights to the front bumper hooked up to the high beams and bought a set of fogs off Amazon that are supposed to be plug and play. BTW I am running Geolander AT tires all around on stock painted steelies
