ya know, CA law says that if you buy gas from a statin, they are required to give you free air. just gotta run inside and tell them to turn it on...

Beautiful work ! I'm thinking of getting the Yellow Top. I understand people have had problems with the Red Top. Did you need a adapter to install it ? Were the cable posts in the same position as the OEM ? Thanks for any info.

    Pain in the ass.
I'm not going to wait in line just to ask someone to activate the compressor... and if I'm doing all 4 tires, it's going to take a 2nd trip.

You'd think there wouldn't be lines in the gas station with everyone using plastic and Speedpass... but there they are. 4-5 deep.

If I break a bolt while removing them I don't have the proper tools to remove it. I tried to take out the one from my skid plate with a bolt extractor and the bolt extractor broke in the hole.
also, i was quoted by a shop that it would take 6-7 hours to install (potential seized bolts) at $110/hour shop rate.

You don't need to remove the LCA's to install your lift

Maybe he wants to be ready to have an alignment done post-lift install.

CM, did you read Boyd's thread? It's a very detailed DIY for removing and installing new LCA bushings and hardware. The parts and tools required isn't expensive. Heck, you could probably buy new LCAs for less than what that shop quoted you on labor. Boyd's ball joint thread is also very helpful.

You still don't have to remove the LCA's to install a lift , and even with seized cams I was able to get 3 , 0 , 0 due to my LR UCA'sc

Not really free when your gas is $2/per gallon more than places that charge you a buck in the off-chance you need air. Californians are so proud of all their laws while their state is the post-child for how not to be a free-state.

    Many, see build thread.
Not at all. The gas station compressors are automated. Walk to the front of the line ( if necessary) and you simply ask the clerk for the daily code (3 digits). Punch the code into the keypad to activate the compressor, do it multiple times if necessary.

    :)
