Got a backup hood vent trim and drilled some holes in it, 3 on each side. Then added some LEDs:

I'll probably go with amber LEDs instead of white, however.

So I bought a 6x12 tandem axle trailer, with an inside height of 6'8". I saw on here where the 7 pin was relocated next to the license plate. I thought that was a great idea, so I did the mod this morning.

Did the trailer come with the 7-pin plug or did you wire it in?

I towed for the first time last week and my buddy's trailer had a 4-pin, so I had to buy an adapter.

Where did you get the 7-pin connector you used? Product number?

Bought the receptacle from O'reily's. Took about an hour total for the install. Sorry for multiple posts but I couldn't get more than 1 picture to upload at one time from my silly iPhone. I'm happy with it. The 7 pin on the truck was broken from trail riding, now it is up and out of the way.

Truck had the tow package, so the 7 pin was already there. The brand name of the plug is Hopkins, part #48480. I looked at a bunch of plugs and this was the only one I saw that had some sort of gasket for weather proofing.
