If you guys are referring to the actual steering wheel buttons, yes they are all one piece. It's not like the older, curved style where there's a left piece, a right piece and a ribbon cable to go between them.

They might be able to be disassembled but I doubt you could buy just a component from toyota. I think the controls were about $140 if memory serves.

Started to hook up a backup camera. Tested the camera first to make sure it worked then started running the wires. The video wire ended up being to short so I will have to wait till I get and extension wire.

They seem to have their shit together at this one, but it's a new location and I know things can change at the drop of a hat. I quit going to the local Kauffman Tire because of bad service. I paid for the lifetime balance/rotation so they're gonna see me after every oil change for the next few years haha.

It was easy. I took the black plastic piece off the front to have more room with the light. Then I turned the fog lights on and it heated up pretty quick. Started from the center and worked my way out. Went on pretty smooth.

Installed the Factor 55 winch rope stop and got the switch in for the bed LEDs. I like the look of the winch rope stop. IMG_2687.jpg IMG_2686.jpg

Changed filter/engine oil. Just turned 50k miles and finally switched to full synthetic Mobil 1. I did try Pennzoil syn blend for previous 2 oil changes and didn't like it. For 3k miles both times half quart of the oil got burned by engine. We will see how will be going with Mobil. So far I have filling that Tacoma sounds different.
Also few weeks back I did rear diff oil. Amsoil synthetic went in so I dont have a plan to touch that differential for long time. Original oil wasn't that bad thou.

    My SR5 has silver button.

    I'm guessing it's a Camry thing.

Okay so I made my 2015 Taco jealous for a moment. My boss' 2014 Supercharged Tundra is in the body shop (someone hit him while he was parked). Anyhow the Toyota dealer gave him a 2016 Tacoma as a rental! With demand on these, and the fact they have none in stock, why would they add it to their rental fleet?! Odd.

Anyhow I hopped in to check it out. Full tech package, keyless start, sunroof, DCSB TRD OR. Started it up and wanted to hear it rev.

Boy that 3.5L V6 sounds lame. I know it puts out more ponies than the old 4.0L V6. And maybe I'm just used to my K&N intake and Spintech muffler. But with the driver door open I was very unimpressed. My old 3.3L V6 in my 2005 Camry sounded more manly!
