i'd make life easy and scratch the curve around the wheel well...give yourself more space for bigger tires and more room for compression by going more directly to the front corner instead of arching back toward the tire...yea it looks cool mocked up but it'll be a bitch to fab up and limits yourself with performance...

i even have issues with my arb on full compression with my tire rubbing on the bumper even with my lift...i'm about to hack the bastard to give my tire some more breathing room if my buddy doesn't want to fab up a new bumper for me...he already is in the works on my sliders and rear bumper

Changed my front differential fluid and transfer case fluid so now the drive train is on all new clean oil. Consistent with the other threads here the front differential fluid was terrible. It was the darkest most metallic looking. The rear differential fluid was dark but not terrible. The transfer case was so clean I am sorry I drained it. But at least now everything is running Mobil 1 75w-90 LS synthetic gear oil and it clean and fresh. I am still shocked how bad the front diff oil looked. Also removed and sold Spidertrax.

Since I got my '08 in November 2010, I added an aFe OEM style air filter and removed the secondary carbon filter. I added variable speed windshield wipers which took all of $60 and 10 minutes. I also added a soft tonneau cover on the bed. I replaced the rear diff lube with 100% synthetic. Finally I replaced the crappy factory tires with Goodyear fuel max tires. I run them at 36 PSI and my last interstate trip at 70 MPH netted 28MPG. I'm doing the transmission lube replacement this weekend with synthetic. I'd like to replace the factory radio with something that has an aux port and could play MP3 cd's at least. That's it so far...

Made my own 1.5" body lift. Gonna make a how to thread soon. It is the same material that Roger Brown uses and way less expensive. It cost about $50 total and that includes all grade 8 hardware (from Fastenal) and a rod of UHMW Polyethylene (from Grainger). Write up coming soon.

Installed some lights in my topper!! Now I can see at night! I used some cheapie fogs from Advanced Auto and mounted them up high behind the 3rd brake light. I then mounted a switch on the frame of the rear access. It's all wire nutted so I can remove the topper if need be.

I also mounted some cheapie LED's under my hood. No pics of them yet.

Wiring is now tucked in around the corner of the cap rail.
