I dump it directly into 3" sewer cleanout. Most homes around here have them. It's there so you can snake your main line that runs to city sewer or septic. Hopefully you have something similar because the bucket method doesn't sound too fun!

I really like this setup! We need to figure something else out as I almost tore the spare tire off our trailer with a tire mount bike rack.

I saw the Carlson tray on Amazon. Figured I'd make some modifications and try mounting my Inno racks to it. Works great and frees up space in the truck bed.

I would recommend getting a long weight distribution shank. Extending the tray for the front bike rack lessens turn clearance. If you had to cut a corner sharp and the ground was uneven it's possible the rack could hit the truck above the taillights. I think I have an 18" and it's sometimes close.

Added a back-up camera to the camper today. Actually it's intended to be more off a towing rear view mirror setup. For ease of use and simple install I used a license plate frame backup camera and a WIFI video tranmistter. The transmitter is rain proof and transmits 100 meters. I will say that even though I did get the transmitter working with My IPad the app does NOT support Android nougat as of right now. This was NOT made known when I bought it....

The camera and transmitter together only require about .5 mA so I just taped them into a rear tailight wiring. The taillight also holds the license plate mount so it worked out well.

The camera gets power from from the transmitter so just needed to splice and solder the transmitter wires into the taillight. I needed to use the voltmeter to figure this out. White = ground, black = running light, green = brake light.

Stuff all the wiring into the hole and mount the tail light assembly / license plate frame. Ya need butyl tape and rtv silicone on all 4 sides of the light housing to seal it up from moisture. I also had dremmel the top of the housing to make room for the transmitter wires. The transmitter is affixed with 3m outdoor double sided tape.

The Camera/Transmitter are turned here when either the marker lights or headlights are turned on. Trailer must be plugged in to the truck of course.

Voila it's working :proposetoast:. The iPad is held with the Hondo mount and and a RAM X-grip. Its kind of a cool system since anybody or any truck towing the trailer can just download the app and use the camera.

I ran out of time today but I also ordered one of these front facing Toyota emblem cameras and another tranmistter. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00P...ota+camera&dpPl=1&dpID=41JQFVk35AL&ref=plSrch
Diff gears should also be going in soon so I'll get the front camera taken care when I can.

I've also recently installed a remote control maxx air vent fan and over tounge jack bike carrier I'll try to update soon.

I just upgraded from a popup camper to a 23' travel trailer (used). Over the past week, I've replaced the wheel bearings and tires. I also installed a brake controller (Tekonsha Primus IQ) and a weight distribution hitch with sway control (Eaz-lift 48058). Getting the WDH setup correctly has been a real pain. Even with the 5" drop, my Tacoma (no lift) sits a bit too high. So I wasn't able to get the camper level. My main concern though was getting some weight to the front. When I brought the camper home with no WDH, the front felt really light. I'm hoping when I add full propane tanks and have the camper fully loaded, it might drop the hitch another inch to get it level. It's maiden voyage will be the weekend of August 11th.

Weighs in at 3,320 lbs dry, GVWR 4,720 and a dry hitch weight of 320.

It's a 2002, so it's 15 years old. You'd never know it though, it's been well taken care of and stored winters. Best part is, it only cost me $1,500 more than I sold my popup for!

I just put new tires on my TT yesterday. Went with the new Goodyear Endurance. Anyone running these?

Heading up to Flagstaff tomorrow. This will be the first time towing up the hill with the Tacoma. I guess this trip will be determining the new truck will be another Tacoma or a Tundra.

If your talking about the hill to sunset point my 3rd gen has pulled our trailer up that a few times. You won't be going 75mph but I was able to pull 50-55 with out too much trouble. If you get caught behind a semi truck that's another story:ballchain:

Its going to be slow going I am sure. I think my trailer is 1000 pounds heavier than yours. I do not want to cook the transmission, so I will probably just get in behind a big rig and take it easy.

This is a fun thread! Not much TT info around here.
We just picked this Jayco 174BH Baja a few weeks ago. We just had our first kid in April, and have since decided the RTT wasn't working for us right now. Never had a RV before, but the conveniences are sure nice.

Thanks! We are enjoying it so far.
I'm hoping to figure out an easily removed solution for rock chips, the st maxx can really throw some good sized rocks while on the gravel. I also am going to have to get a WD hitch. With the fresh water tank in the nose it gets plenty heavy with a full tank of water.
