    Last minute decision:
Travelled over 1400 miles round trip between Sunday morning and today to witness totality with my little buddy. Totally worth it. Stayed with friends in an RV park, my boy and I slept on the front seats (reclined). Got to see the Eclipse and had one hell of a good time getting to Paducah and back. First LONG trip with the Taco...no complaints. Gets awesome highway mileage in 6th gear at 65-75, but the mileage really dropped when we were running too fast...way too fast....not a complaint.
Passed anything and felt stable when needed. Climbed the hills of WV and KY no problem. Got screaming fast across OH and had to remind myself to slow down.

:thumbsup:I had about 5 or 6 different people text me a video of the eclipse but it wasn't of the moon covering the sun... I'm guessing I wasn't the only one who got that video yesterday.

Great photos! We just got home from an 8 hour drive from MD to SC to see the totality. SO worth it... what a neat experience.

My coworker went with the same expectation that I had. "It's neat but not that big of a deal."

He returned and said it was absolutely incredible, highly recommended that I make a trip to get in the path of the next one possible.

Austin is already telling people how to plan for it since we'll be in totality. It's 7 years out.

    Really?

We went to the Madras, OR, eclipse. First longish trip (~700 miles), comfy, good mileage for a truck, no problems passing Sunday drivers. Eclipse party was a bit intimidating, though. About 250 people. 36 kegs.
