What have you done with your tacoma today? 2nd Gen

Thought there should be a separate thread on what you did with your tacoma, where there is one on what you have done to your tacoma. I'll start, I towed out a stuck Chevy 1500 4 dr that was lifted. He hit a washout hard and got thrown into it, half his truck was in it and the other was in soft sand. Didn't have a tow strap, so went and got the Walmart tow strap, drove over to his truck, hooked up his aftermarket baja style front bumper to one of my front tow hooks, put it in 4lo and locked the diff, hoped strap wouldn't break, and pulled. Despite me digging in the sand as well, the little taco was able to pull that beast out. Probably been a different story if it was a stock 1500 without the lift. He had a little extra power in it and modified it to articulate more. Was going to tow out his friend's range rover that was dug in to the frame but that might have been harder. Decided to use the 1500's weight and power to see what it could do first, hoping it didn't also get dug in as well. This is what happens when it rains heavily in a desert for a week. I somehow ended up being the only sober person with a truck they knew, despite only meeting them only once before, taco saves the day!

New kicks & wheels! 16x8 FN Five Star matte bronze mated to 265/75r16 Cooper Adventurer A/T (Pepboys AT/3s).

 

On Friday and Saturday I used it to winch over the pieces of this tree. Getting them on the ground is the fun part, cleaning them up is work. You can see the Taco in the background of the first pic, as well as the winch line to the tree. I usually use the remote for my winch on trees, but I had a helper on this job, so he ran the winch controller.

 

My trip last weekend.

 

Quite the drop there. I used to work for a tree service but never got up in the trees. Was just a groundling, still interesting and dangerous work. I learned a lot. What saw is that, 390, 3120? I have a 346 and 372 I use for firewood. Stay safe.

New/Used Leer Canopy today, and blacked out the badges to match the black. The dogs not too impressed with it 'cause she's got to ride back there now

 

Put on a couple tires. And Christmas lights

OR, "what have you done BECAUSE of your Tacoma today, 2nd gen".......I have a couple of those stored away in my memory bank.....
