    As a follow-up to my previous post, turns out the polished cast iron isn't ideal.

    As a follow-up to my polished cast iron pan, it was too shiny. I made some steaks in it, it worked great. When I tried to clean it afterwards, just water and rubbing with my had removed the seasoning. My guess is that the seasoning needs something to stick to. It's also possible that my seasoning was poorly done.

    I sanded it down with 3000 grit. It's not nearly as shiny as before but still looks good. The seasoning also went on easier this time around.

    Don't fall all that much.
    I've been doing the a long while as well as cutting timber. Not really concerned with getting impaled.
