Made a hammered metal wire bracelet last weekend. Not bad for a first attempt. The leather one is a weave from leftover scraps. The metal one was actually easier to make.

Looks awesome Scott! I've always had a passion for art. It was my second choice for career paths. Decided on the culinary arts but sometimes wish I had kept up with stuff like that.

Thanks Dennis, as the saying goes "the grass is always greener". As long as you enjoy what you do, then you made the right choice, by the looks of what you post regularly, your career path has been a good one. Thumbs up!

Nice Kayla, are these watercolors? I think I see some salting effects in the blue background.

I used gouache paint, I'm sure you know of it. I just use it like watercolor. What do you mean by salting effect? Enlighten me!

Aggh, that was my second guess. Salting is when you sprinkle salt on an area that is freshly painted and while still wet. The salt wicks the pigments into the salt leaving a small white halo effect around the salt grains.
    Looks like this...

I actually used it in the red area behind the bumper.

Oh wow that's neat. Yeah I think I just speckled the paint to get that effect. Learn something new everyday. What is the difference between gouache and watercolor?

Gouache is opaque and watercolor is semi-transparent. Some other cool effects to do while the area your painting is still wet is to spritz using a spray bottle or drizzle rubbing alcohol on the area both very cool effects.
These are all considered wet-on-wet techniques.

I will have to try that! I love using gouache. I really miss painting, I need to get back on it and stop being lazy.

I made a hanger for the GF's bike. I'm going to have to rehang it on the wall for her though. It's designed so the bike will sit level.
