Yup just simple doug fir studs for now, might try and Shou Sugi Ban it to preserve it longer. But I suspect that they will need to be replaced with a better solution in the future.

Frame is just some 1" x 3" sqr tube I had laying around and some angle iron to secure the 2x4s to. I might be adding bolt on metal cross piece to the bottom of the frame for more support but the wood seems to be supporting it enough for now.

So I painted my Kubb set in the colors of the various Scandinavian flags. Some are still taped up in the drying stage.

Found out I’m a horrible painter but they look ok. They’re going to get the hell beat out of them anyway so no point in trying to get them perfect anyway. :)

BTW, that isn’t garbage in the background. Those are bags full of clothes going to the donation bin.

Work at a sheet metal company, his lasers, lol. I always wanted an at home in garage setup one day.

This was cut on the Mazak 8kw Fiber laser though, it's just so much better with precise cuts and details. The sign measures around 18" Diameter...gift for his friend I'm sure.

Integrated a new to me table saw into my workbench.
Gonna have to trim the metal brackets and add a dust collection system but TOTALLY worth what I spent on it.

I did add a Freud blade to the saw. Full kerf combination blade that cuts even walnut like butter and leaves an edge that needs no sanding.
