    Sooo many bees! hah

Completed a new video installment for my time with Hurricane Isaias. Here in Florida, it was really disorganized and lopsided as a storm. Also, thankfully the pandemic I think killed the usual hurricane pandemic we go through with all the crazies.

My heart goes out to any of those this storm affected. I never would have guessed it would have gone on to affect so many areas and take so many lives. But I guess that’s what happens when a hurricane hits land and starts moving at 40mph speed over ground!!

    Cheers, mandog :hattip:

Tired of phone disappearing in between seat mocked up a fix and mounted a holster. I made it too long but seems to hold good. The screws cost more than the wood...lol.

Been a bit busy lately in the shop and haven't gotten photos of all that has been completed and gone to others.

Antique brass Deer Hunter Bolt action pen with Whitetail Antler.

I had made the pen for myself and I owned the completed project for all of 20 minutes before I received an offer I couldn't refuse. Guess I'll have to see about turning another one.

Once I get a chance to get on my PC I'll post photos of some of my other items.

This wood rotten wood, had to stabilize it before I could use it. I've used some pecan lumber before that wasn't as interesting. I sealed this after turning and sanding with OB Shine Juice which really brought out the color. I had to do a CA finish on it to insure it didn't crumble or start flaking off. Before stabilizing I could put my finger through the wood.

    Before stabilizing. . .

Made the mounting bracket for rod holder. Put the round heads towards the boat side so it wont dig in as bad as the nuts. I grinded one side of the mounting bolt to fit the groove of the boat rail turn 90° and it locks in. Not bad for homemade job

I choose the holographic because it looks white at an angle. Blue is for the truck's bits of blue accents

Thank you! I've been wanting one since they came out when I was a kid. I was really into scrapbooking at the time. Now I'm just making a bunch of weird stuff with it, like this vest I made for my cat

Basically just knocking out a bunch of stuff I used to do by hand.

Okay, I had to make onnnnne more sticker for the Corolla. The slow moving sticker has obviously been there a while and wasn't auto quality to begin with, haha. It's pretty small anywho.

Painting and more creative stuff will hopefully be on the horizon. I just got a new part-time artsy job I start tomorrow, and I've got a few weeks of school left, then hopefully I'll be back at it. Cutting random BS has been filling the void for now.

Not really today, but in my quest to learn CNC programming I made a set of way overbuilt hinges for a dog ramp. Preferably I would've gone with stainless, but then these overbuilt hinges would've been waaaay overpriced, so some scrap mild was what I went with. I might set up a diy plating kit, but for now they'll just be painted.

Wow those hinges are beautiful. What machine are you using? I've just started the cnc journey with a amateur rig... (Shapeoko 3 XL)
