I was surprised how many nannies I kept on. I have the lane control thing off since day 1, usually auto high beam and Qi off, sometimes in snow I use Auto LSD, and I have used the adaptive cruise on 2 long trips. Otherwise most gizmos have not annoyed me.... guess I am finally automotive nanny woke? The Taco is my DD, probably a majority of the reason... my jeep still gets me back to the basics... well as basic as a 06 can be :)

I agree with you on everything but the BSM. I like that as I have a bad blind spot with my Access Cab doors. It has save me a few times and isn't too annoying for me. I turned off my seat belt buzzer too. That is a real PITA. I wear my seat belts but hate the buzzer.

The first thing I got rid of was bitching Betty.:annoyed: I know where the hell I'm going.
Not going to pay $8.00 a month for the SOS button either. Bought a $43,000 truck and Toyota wants a six pack every month.:spending:

Ant regrets? I’m probably doing that next time I remove the cluster or am bored. Haha

I was a bit worried about losing the turn signal chime, but even that was a pleasant surprise. Sitting at stoplights, I found that I was not feeling frustrated at the longer ones with chime being gone. Just wonderful silence. There's enough indicator lights on the dash. Haha!

I have found that I have left my turn signal on just one time after a lane change. That's about par for the course for me. Of course, it was when a friend was following me, so I got a radio call about it.

The silly thing is that most folks forget their signal was left on when driving down a highway. Anything over about 45mph, the tone is pretty much inaudible anyway.

    So yeah, zero regrets. :D

Nice. Mine is coming off this weekend then! I was also worried about the turn signal thing. But after thinking that I’ve noticed that at long lights I’ll turn my signal off because I get sick of hearing it.

For signaling I just do the bump and get over. No leaving on. But like you said, above 45 you aren’t hearing that thing anyway.

Same here. The detent on the stalk seems to be a bit light though. Sometimes I bump it into the hold position.

It sounds like you will enjoy the deletion.

Just LDA for me - oh, and the radio for the most part as I enjoy driving something that doesn't have any noises that make me wonder what's wrong with it.

Bye bye little buddy. Took about 15 minutes including putting tools away. It’s glorious. Had the door open and turned turned on the truck to make sure the dash still worked before I put it back together. Turned off to put it all back together. No more beeping with the door open!! Signals are a bit weird with no sound. But worth it.

    Yeah!

The signals take a minute to get used to. In the end, a very small price to pay.

I must be the odd one out, because I bought a 18' because I wanted all the drivers ad. I drive 1000 round trip for work, so I like them. BUT is there a write up on removing the turn signal buzzer?

One thing to keep in mind since you like the drivers aids - from that link @tonered posted it might also remove the lane departure tone. I’m a peasant with a 2016 so I don’t have any of those fancy features to confirm.

Yup. All tones, chimes, and bongs for the interior would be gone. All visual indicators are unaffected.
