Looking to upgrade the brake rotors to drilled/slotted Stoptech rotors, but I'm wondering what all the Tacoma owners are running. I used their HPS on street cars in the past, but I noticed they also have a new HPS 5.0, a performance ceramic, an LTS for light trucks and SUVs, and a super duty for large trucks and lots of towing.

For those using Hawk pads, what did you go with, how do you like it (performance, noise, wear), and why?

On my 03 Tundra slotted rotors with LTS were awesome. My Taco stops better than the Tundra ever did so I’m happy as is and will replace with OEM.

Saw your post when I was searching around. Honestly the ceramics were the model I was looking at last, but you seem to have had a great experience with them so far. Why did you go with those over the LTS?

Also what rotors did you go with?

Because i've had good experience with ceramic pads in regards to dust, my other dd is a 2022 X5M and I get brake dust just looking at them!

As for rotors, i've mentioned it in my post.

I don't see a model number or style of rotor in your post, only Powerstop and that you bought it from Summit

dude, some legwork would go a long way :)

The only reason why I didn't mention model or pn, is because powerstop makes 1 rotor for the taco that is slotted/drilled.

    Powerstop Z36.

Used to run Hawk, they were good in 2005 but compared to current offerings Hawk's street pads are garbage. In recent years when I've tried them they have had very little bite and excessive noise, regardless of how many times I cleaned, regreased, and rebedded the brakes. Went Powerstop a couple of years ago and haven't looked back.
