What headlights have you installed and do you like them...?

    Hey all!

I have been searching the forum for information in regards to headlights people have purchased and what their opinions are of them. I have been trying to research headlights that will fit my 2000 Tacoma and the reviews on the Anzo headlights are that they are not good because of the blind spots they create. With that said I have looked at cheaper ones but the reviews say they are "cheap", cheaply built and etc. I would LOVE to find a glass headlight but can't find anything. Matter of fact almost all my searches lead me back to the Anzo's. I really want a good quality set that will last.... Should I try to buy the factory lights directly from Toyota, go with the blind spot Anzo's, or.... What are your experiences?

Thank you everyone for anything you can provide!!!

If you got the $$$$ go OEM Toyota......if not, a lot of people here including me, have had good results with TYC brand.

I replaced mine last year with some TYC's off Amazon. Came with Osram bulbs which was a nice surprise but I had already bought other bulbs so i didn't use the ones that came with the housings. Amazing difference compared to the stock 19 year old housings and yellowed, hazy lenses!! The light pattern isn't the greatest but I have not been flashed yet so I'll let it slide. I can definitely see way better and way further (farther??) and that's what matters most. Fit was fine, I did have one of the marker light posts break and had to have a replacement housing sent but Amazon took care of it quickly. No leaks either.

I do have a 5 lug so the crappy light pattern at a 4x4 or prerunner height may have different results with being flashed by other drivers...

Interesting......I got the same pattern on my TYC headlights.

They angle up to the right.....I thought I might have installed them wrong but could find nothing unusual.

    TYC CAPA certified from Rockauto:

Pretty much everything else aftermarket is going to be form over function. It may LOOK cool, but they don't exactly spend a lot of time/money of R&D for a good light beam pattern.

From here, your options are the "ultimate headlight upgrade", and then on to a projector retrofit.

Don't go throwing LEDs or HIDs in your housings.

And they cost like $5 more. It's a no brainer.

I find it's cheaper for CAPA on RockAuto for some reason. It might have been for the model I was looking for but still.

Hey all thanks for the information in regards to the headlights! I found the CAPA certified on RockAuto and the shipping was going to be almost $11. When I saw that I decided to put the part number in Amazon and was able to get them for a little less, with free shipping and they will be here tomorrow (3/5/2020) - with RockAuto it was $11 and they wouldn't have been here until 3/10/2020.

Once I get them installed and adjusted I will provide an update as to how they performed.

    Thanks again!

That is what I was missing, thanks.

I've got an 02. se7enine showed me what I was missing though.

Both of my headlights are foggy and I just had a bulb burn out so I'll probably give these a try.
