    Noooooooooooo!!!! Googling . . .

AmFam sucks my nuts. Back in 2016, a person parked their car over two lanes of traffic turning left instead of getting into the center turn lane. I slowed as much as possible and glanced off their rear door with my Ural. They never looked left, even with my horn, until just before I contacted them.

Two different claims peeps and they still struggled to get me processed. I had to get my insurance involved (Progressive). At least they were extremely helpful and went to bat for me including taking care of the bike and back billing those AmFam fucks.

Do you have Ameriprise? Any changes?

We stepped away for the past year to be able to afford our 16yr old and a third car getting added. We want to jump back in for their rates and service.

Edit: It looks like it happened last October. We moved everything to Progressive in August, hoping that it will only be a year.

I have horror stories about a claim with State Farm. My husband has horror stories about a claim with Progressive. I'm sure if you ask everybody on here you'll find a shitty story about every company. Just find the best coverage for the cheapest price and go with that one. They all suck..

I agree with you that all the big main insurance companies are out to rob everyone and will fight to the bitter end on all claims. However, I found that USAA is actually an amazing insurance company. There rates are astronomical compared to others but there customer service can’t be touched by anyone else so for me it’s worth the higher premiums. Take care.

Erie insurance. Just don't have a major run of bad luck and files 3 auto claims in 2 years for any reason, they will drop you for 36 months. Other than that I've used them for home and auto insurance for a long time. They have always paid home and auto claims and never went cheap on repairs. My agent is great.

I just wish they would come up with some decent TV commercials. Are they in competition to see which can come up with the stupidest and most infantile TV commercials? Seems they are.

USAA is a nightmare to deal with if you are filing a claim against them.

I use Mercury, nobody else has been able to match their rates for me for years

State Farm here. They've been okay although their web portal sucks (IMO). They handle all my insurance needs (Home, car, motorcycle, ATV and classic car). State Farm is also one of the few companies which will insure a Fiberglass, street-legal Dune Buggy (Manx) so since I have one of those, I stick with them. In the past I've used Auto Club and found them to be fine but their rates were high. My GF comes from a Military background and has USAA. The rates for her two cars (an SUV and a Sports Car) seem cheap to me!

I’m glad usaa seems cheap to you. For us, a Tacoma and a QX60, 2700 a year. Both drivers near age 40, no tickets or accidents for either one of us ever. So seems outrageous to me.... but I keep USAA because of the service to its members. Top notch and unmatched so I don’t mind the higher premiums.

Now you've got me curious so I'll have to ask her what she's actually paying. She has a Highlander and a Porsche Boxster S on her policy. We both have good driving records and we're in our 40's.

I keep full-coverage on my '93 T100. It is a very nice truck (I'm biased, I know) which I've had since '95 (it was my first car). For my situation it wasn't that much more to keep it at Full-coverage, plus there are times that it spends the night (or a week) on the street in front of my house so if it got hit or stolen I like to know I'm covered.
