hey guys looking to get an iPad for my business, it’ll spend most of its life in a truck and be used for billing/invoices/expense tracking/mileage tracking, etcetera.
I’m planning on accepting credit/debit via square and PayPal do a regular tablet would work for that and it seems as though Invoice2go is the way to go for invoices and a standard iPad would work well for that.

Would you guys recommend a mini, standard, or pro iPad?
With my limited knowledge of the iPads I think a standard/mini would work but is there something that would justify the cost of a iPad Pro for my uses?

I'm an iPad user since the first one. I have always used the "standard" size and have had no complaints. I also use iPad Micro (otherwise known as an iphone 6+, then the 6s+, and now 8+) My boss has the pro and absolutely swears by it. He uses the extra screen space to have his email and internet browser open at the same time. He also has a keyboard to go with it so he isn't limited to the screen for input.

For me it would depend on how much typing is involved. Once I cross a certain line I'll get my computer, it's just faster and easier that pecking around on a glass screen. I use my iPad for taking notes and tracking mileage, but since I've gotten the bigger phones the iPad has been getting a lot less use. I'm never without my phone, so it's often the default device I use. When the iPad dies I doubt that I will replace it.

    So what would I recommend?
    • Not the mini - skip that and get a plus size iPhone and have one less thing to carry around.
    • Standard - good all around size.
    • Pro - best for having multiple apps open at the same time, but not that much smaller that a laptop when you include an external keyboard.
It's hard to give a definitive recommendation because everybody is different. Some of my coworkers have mini's and make fun of my big phone and they'd be telling you that the mini is the best size. One guy has a external keyboard for his regular size iPhone and uses that for note taking. Good luck.

I already have the mini (I use it when I fly the Phantom 3) so I may pick up a keyboard and try that for a while, I have an iPhone 7 and I don't know if I want to go bigger.
