Fox 2.0 Coilovers in the front and Fox 2.0’s in the rear, Total Chaos UCA’s, Al-lpro expo leafs, K&N cold air intake, TRD headers,Magnaflow catback exhaust,URD short throw shifter, switched out my 60/40 bench seat for some Tacoma Limited seats, Replaced the vinyl shift boot for a leather one, completely soundproofed the cab w/ Frost King. Replaced stock radio with a Pioneer AVH series head unit. Focal component system w/a 10" sub powered by 2 Alpine amps. Weathertech floor mats. Line-X'd the bed. SCS Ray 10’s, Installed an A.R.E. MX series camper shell. All-Pro Apex front bumper w/ All-Pro skid plates all the way back to the Trans. Low Range fuel skid plate.
That was happening to me. I took off the panel, removed the retractable seat belt bracket and sprayed some white lithium grease in the gears, brought it in and out a few times and now its like brand new (and that was like a year ago)

Your clock is actually still working?

For me, it's like most have mentioned:
    - Oil & Fuel filter location
    - Dash rattle

I don't think they are slow, mine has no trouble on grades. Definitely a lot more powerful than the 2.8 S10 I used to own.

Too much bitchin' about the oil filter, perfect spot next to oil pan for a fast fill. Next time you change the oil put R front tire up on a brick and cut an old gallon anti-freeze jug the long way in half. Place your "new oil pan" over axle and under filter and it catches all of spilled oil and I've never had skid plate off in 200,000 miles. Rookies.

I just wish I had bought a double cab, other than that can't complain. Mines up for trade in for sale section!

Yup, oil filter's easy. These guys haven't changed the filter on a 3.0 I take it, now those are a bitch.

I wish there was a long bed option on a quad cab or a manual transmission option for either long or short beds.

I don't like that my rear windows (ext. cab ones) are mirrored and look completely off compared to my 2 front windows which are tinted black.

I like my 02 Double cab pre runner as it only has 55k miles . Right now plenty of power from the 4cylinder as its supercharged , K&N CAI and Doug Thorley TRI Y Header . Climbs the 4200ft Cajon Pass with ease

I passed a nice looking 2016 Tacoma yesterday on this mtn pass and passed it like it was standing still LOL !!! . I was going 75 mph and I know they heard the blower whine as I blew their doors off LOL!!!

Why do people hate on the e-brake in the first gens? The pimp cane e-brake is one of my favorite features of the truck.

squeakiest chassis I have ever had. No matter how much I clean and lube it comes back a few weeks later. We gave in and just named it Sir Squeeks-A-Lot.
Other than that love it for wife and I. Tows trailer fine, spunky little engine that can.

I dont know what it is with Green but not just toyota, take a look - most green have crappy issues with clear coat. take it a step further, so do black and several other colors.

As for what I cant stand, im sure been posted more than once in this thread - damn driver side seat ripping and that funky side panel on the seat.

Must be a dark truck clearcoat thing, my 04 gold truck has never seen the inside of a garage and the paint still looks great!
