It’s not only leaking or condensation, the cheaper aftermarket ones start to delaminate.
My ones from Amazon have not leaked or had condensation. But they have started to delaminate.

A lot of the condensation issues are from not getting the rubber boot back on the the socket good.
    At least that’s my opinion.

Depends what you want but definitely OEM is best. They have different bezels pending model. Aftermarket seem to leak and condensate.

    Welcome to TW!

I went through this about a year ago. Factory housings are best, but I was quoted $700 for a set from a local dealer. Ordering online directly from Toyota was about $600. I had a local body shop call and see what their price would be, $500. I paid the body shop $500 and the same dealer that quoted me $700 delivered them to the body shop for $500.

I'll be honest, $500 was about my limit. If $700 was the best I could have done I'd have gone with $200 aftermarket housings. Even if they only lasted 3-4 years it would have been cheaper than $700 for a set that might last 10.

On 12/2020 I paid $343 delivered, free across the Country shipping, for factory new from Conicelli Toyota.
    That was then......

A 15 year old truck needs $700 headlights? I dunno? I'd think buying $200 sets from Amazon might be a better route to take.

Also depends on the mileage. My 07 is 16 years old but only has 34,700 miles... buying OEM quality was a no brainer.

I'm having trouble computing this. Seems even more of a waste of money to put that much coin into something that mostly sits.

Not trying to start anything, just commenting.

What's it worth to have headlights that shine down the road correctly and keep everyone safe?

Well considering aftermarket headlight optics suck, the UV Coating doesn’t last nearly as long, and you will have condensation issues…OEM is a no brainer especially if you time it with a sale. Pinch dollars where you like but I refuse to do it when it involves my vision at night.

The first time a set of cheap Chinese made headlights fail to illuminate a deer (or worse) before you crush it (and your truck), it will make more sense.
