I have been told several things about breaking in a new truck. I have heard that it improves engine lifetime. Some one told me that I need to put in about a 1000 freeway miles to break in the engine. Another one told me not to drive over 3000 rmp.

Is this important? how do we break in to Tacoma?

There are recommendations in your owner's manual. Follow them, then be happy.

I asked my dealer yestarday and the service manager told me 30 000 kms and it's broken in.

    That's right, he said 30 000!

Get your wife/girlfriend in the truck (psst, don't tell the wife if you go the girlfriend route), take it out somewhere secluded, then

hit as many bumps as you can.:D

    Oh, and mud's always fun.
