I recently bought my 2013 with 70,000 miles already on it. That makes it 4 years old with that many miles which does seem a little high, however I really wanted this particular color and the price was right.

That said, how many miles are considered 'a lot' on these trucks?

A quick amendment. I have seen 2013 Tacomas with as few as 30,000 miles on them for sale, but a good bit more in price than what I payed for mine. I guess what I'm really asking is this: what's more important, a good price on a higher mileage truck or a lower mileage truck that costs more?

    Thanks for the input!

All depends on previous owner, but it is a Toyota. I settled on a 13 with 50K miles a few weeks ago. I received the owner records on maintenance and it was well taken care of. Had a 97 with almost 200K and she was still going strong...similar on an 01 and around 200K.

I hear ya! Yeah, the truck I bought is certified used, bought it from a Toyota dealer. Had new brakes, Battey, tires...Complete 160 pt inspection. Looks like new, well taken care of...But of course my mind would feel better if the mialege were closer to yours!

I would assume 200k relatively trouble free miles on a second gen Tacoma if well maintained.

Industry says lately 15K per year is average mileage for a vehicle these days. Of course, it depends on what kind of use. Daily driver or hard trails, etc. I just brought home an 11 Taco with 67K. I had a lot of trouble finding one that low in Colorado and in decent shape. Most of what I saw was 89K to 189K. All my Toyota buds tell me that with some TLC, these motors will run 300K+ with no issues. Take care of your Taco and it should last you many years!
    Enjoy
