... doing my best to avoid chick/wood jokes....

    .... still trying ...

Other than my childish side; looks like you had a lot of work in your truck. I have noticed anything that goes in the bed means work.

To keep the stone out of the tailgate hinge area. Then once it got down enough I could just pull it out of the bed.

bilstein set at 1.75, Racho 5000 rear with 4 leaf kit, floor mats, high lift jack, pull hook in hitch, bed rail corner braces, severe duty brake pads and devil horns on the grill....
This week it feed for the micro farm from town, a load of household trash to the county solid waste transfer station, building materials from the lumber yard...My Tacoma gets used as a rural living accessory day in and day out.

On the other hand, rock, manure, wood chips...the dirty loads close to the homestead get put in the 68 Doldge Uteline, since it has a steel plate in the bed and high racks on the side.

Anyone load a pair of motorcycles (not dirt bikes) into the back? I've got a long bed & I'm trying to get two bikes 550lb each from CT to FL and back... I've had it loaded with firewood before and had it almost down to the stops. I didn't like how it rode, but I don't know the weight of the firewood. I would be surprised if it was more than two bikes...

    1100lbs, 2,000 miles, Any suggestions?

I've had one light cruiser and it wasn't a good thing. Heavy bikes will probably bend your tailgate if you can't fully load them into the bed. My advice is to rent a Uhaul trailer and move the bikes on the trailer. Besides the weight, there will not be much side-to-side room to really stabilize two bikes in the bed. If they were my bikes I would not do it.

His wood looks kind of red; how much chopping did he have to do to it?

That's not a half a cord of wood. That's more like a quarter cord in your short bed. But that shit is heavy.

That's just barely under a half a cord.
Sorry to hear you got soft wood OZ. I hear they make a pill for that.

My Taco is my DD and for wheeling & exploring so it's bed has some recovery stuff and that's about all it carries unless we go camping.
My PreTaco is the Beast of Burden (Bob for short) and hauls firewood (12 trips a year with 1/4 to 1/2 cord a load) and any thing else I might need to haul.
