    phone mount sure could be it... I'll look at it closer with that in mind tomorrow when its light out and as for the magnet theory, I'll hold a piece of metal up to it and see if its attracted to it. Good Possibility!

    Any chance it could be one of those dealer-installed GPS trackers, that should have been taken off when the vehicle was sold?

    I would say if it magnetic then its probably some kind of a mount, if its not, then i would take it back to the dealer and try to get them to get ahold of the owner that had it before you. Then may be able to figure out what it is.

    It's universal. You just need to get an adhesive backed metal disc to stick to the phone.

    well, that critter is no longer on the top of the drink holder, now I'll just have to get the glue off and then I'll black Plasti Dip when I get home... thanks for all the help. Ya'll responded well above and beyond the call of duty for me... ;)

    glad you got it take care of. I would say apply some heat to soften the glue and remove it, but if its super adhesove stuff, id be afraid to try it, lol
