    Hi all,

I have a 2006 V6 TRD Sport DC with AT. When I pulled in my driveway tonight I noticed a hissing or static sound after I shut the truck off. I started the truck, turned the AC off and the sound went away after a couple seconds. When I got out I noticed a near clear liquid puddling under my truck.

I popped the hood and it was coming out of a small hose that sticks out of the firewall (in the engine bay) on the passenger side - See hose in yellow circle in photo attached.

    2 Questions:

    1) What is leaking out of the truck?
    2) Is it ok to take the truck out of town tomorrow for work? It will be a 100 km (60 mile return trip).

    Thanks for your help.

Is the noise normal too? I have had the truck for 3 years and haven't noticed it before. Also, I would bet about 250 ml had come out - that normal too?

Today is the hottest day so far this summer but certainly not the hottest day since I have owned the truck.

The noise was probably your compressor clutch engaged and quit when you turned it off and restarted. You sure it was that much? 250 ml is quite a bit. Maybe the hose was clogged and worked open right then.

I would asume that it is condensation, however if you have any friends or family that know cars and you feel like you should have it looked at, by all means do it. If for no otherw reason than to ease your mind :)
    Best of luck

I would estimate 250 ml - maybe like you said there was a clog in the hose.

Thanks a lot for the help everyone - I will be much more comfortable on my trip tomorrow.

Mine has dumped quite a bit lately but it's been in the 90's and we have high humidity here.
