Alright: went to dealership, ordered all parts and set up to have lines from transmission replaced Wednesday, plus a drain and fill.

Stopped by parts store, got some high pressure 3/8 hose and a bunch of hose clamps. Going to replace hose today and do a drain and fill. That should get me to Wednesday.

Before I start wrenching on things any thoughts?

I'd be concerned about making things worse (like breaking a fitting) for a 4 day patch job.

I'd leave it alone till Wed, since you've already committed to the big bucks.

Thanks for the advice @Clearwater Bill!

I was waiting for someone to say that. Just had to talk to my girlfriend about getting me to work. She agreed.

The dealership is a mile from my house...should I do a drain and fill or just bring it over and hope I don't do any damage in that mile?

Update: at dealer, should be ready Tuesday or Wednesday. If it wasn't the transmission I would have done it myself, but they scare me...so I'll leave this one to the pros.

    Thanks everyone.

Final update: Got truck back from dealership. New transmission cooler lines and a drain and fill done Tuesday. Drive truck home from work yesterday and crawled underneath and noticed that one of the cooler lines going into transmission was still leaking. Took it back to the dealer, decided not to be a pain and just asked them to fix it. They got me right in at the end of the day and the tech reattached the line and did another transmission drain and fill no charge. Now it's not leaking and I have 50% new transmission fluid. Truck drives great!

Thanks for help diagnosing the leak everyone.
