I took the excerpt from OP from this post in the vegan thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/vegan-animal-rights-thread.614748/page-45#post-20889204

Am I the only one seeing the logical fallacy in these bold statements? Experts say a diet that requires you to take a supplement is the best one?

Clearly I can't conclude that an all meat diet is healthier, because likely not, but I can conclude a diet that requires a supplement to keep you healthy is irrefutably not what your body needs. If vegan was the diet your body needs, you wouldn't need a supplement.

Oddly enough, a link of foods for vegans that have been fortified with B12 because, lo and behold, you need a vitamin found in animals.

This is known as an appeal to authority logical fallacy. "Experts" can say whatever the fuck they want. I know people who are vegans they are tired skinny and seem pretty unhappy in general. I know people who eat just meat. They are strong, have lots of energy and are generally happier and funner to be around. Just speaking from personal experience here. Could just be coincidence, who knows, but I eat pretty much everything besides plants and I feel great all the time.

Being a plant is hard, but plant slavery is harder.

It's true, you can definitely sustain yourself on air and sunlight for the rest of your life if you wish.

Downside is the rest of your life is a LOT shorter than it would be otherwise

I’m actually interested. Maybe I’ll see if I can find the paper. I didn’t see it linked there. I can see that happening in certain plants. Curious about all.

Not sure, but I feel like it would be all of them. Do you know any animals that don't feel pain?
