What is TDA and do I have to pay it?

Damn it.......starting to hate being in Dallas.

 

I paid it, reluctantly... They threw in a tootsie pop...

 

I was, or I should say I am, willing to pay $500 over invoice for this truck so if I can get them to knock down their TMF fee $400-500 I would be happy. One of the dealers I've been working with said he'd go invoice but this fee is hard to swallow. So if he cuts it in half my deal would be where I'm comfortable paying.

 

I bought my truck east of Mason Dixon so you are correct.

 

They might not call it TDA or show it on the fancy little pricing sheet but the $$ will still be built somewhere in total cost you pay for the vehicle. If I call it doc and delivery fees and just double the charge on those you're still paying me the $$ but believe what you want. The mind is a powerful thing.

 

If someone paid straight invoice for their truck plus $900 delivery and no other dealer added options or dealer installed items, please post a photo of your sales pricing sheet. Hint the dealer still makes money even at invoice and often at below invoice pricing. My dad ran a Ford dealership for 30 years.
