48EEE03E-56A0-4E0A-AF49-8DD455095C8C.jpg I have a 2012 Tacoma with a 3 inch Rough Country Lift. The lift involves a spacer in the front which I believe makes the truck ride terrible. I feel every little bump on the road and am constantly picking stuff up off the floor board from the rough riding. I am looking for a lift or level around 2-3 inches that offers the best ride quality. Right now from the research I have done I believe OME is my best bet. I have an offroad bumper that weighs around 135 pounds so I need something than can withstand the weight of it. I am also running 285 75r16 wild peaks so I need a lift capable of lifting the truck enough to not rub the cab. My main goal though is to find the best ride quality lift. If anybody can help me out I would greatly appreciate it!

Ride quality is highly subjective. I have Bilstein 5100 with OME885 springs and it rides great on new smooth asphalt but is rough and jarring when I hit expansion strips, manhole covers or other small bumps that are part of the daily drive.... Eventually I would like to change out my shocks & springs but right now I have other things to spend money on. How much are you looking to spend on redoing your lift?

Your budget should either be $1300 or $3000.

Bilstein 5100’s up front with OME 886 coils and an add a leaf in the rear or a full dakar pack.

Really varies in terms of what you want. So far if you are looking at standard non Coil-Over shocks. The 6112 up front & 5100 rears are super stout and work quite well. Just need to pair it with the correct coil rate for your bumper.

On the other hand, I would have to say the coilovers are going to be a night and day difference. The ADS I have now make my truck feel firm and in control without being to harsh. However, the king 2.5’s have also been super soft out the box in a good way. Comes down to money and preference.

Marie & Robert and the crew at @HeadStrong Off-Road could help you out a bit and guide you with recommendations. Awesome vendor to buy from.

My budget is pretty much 1500 tops. I’m about 90% of the time on road but I also like to get off the road every ounce in a while. I am just tired of all the jarring from every little bump in the road and potholes it just makes the truck awful to ride in. And I don’t wanan spend that kind of money and then still be dissapointed in the ride quality.

my vote for 6112/5160s, fits within your budget if you throw it on yourself

it really excels at 35+, and above 60 they are awesome.

i dont have any armor though, so thats something you will have to take into account

also are those p-rated wildpeaks? tires can make a big diff on ride quality

my 6112's replaced a 1" spacer up front that came with the truck. I also threw a new general spring HD leafpack on back to the OEM overcooked fettuccine we have back there.

for 2" of lift you'd be looking at #4 notch (2.15") or #5 (2.46") for a 2nd gen (then adjust for bumper if any).
