    8.5 Fisher XV2, some switches, some lights.
    Gotta go with Bullitt, for me. As a chase scene, it's awesome. When you take into account that it was one of the first live-action chase scenes instead of one that had been filmed at low speeds and sped up (or worse, in front of a screen with a static car), and the first with live sound, it's epic.

    No one gonna argue Bullitt was epic but it was dubbed, hence the Fast and Furious gearbox. Think I read GT40 non-synchro.

    If you pay close attention to Bullitt you will see the same cars being used in many different scenes. One that comes to mind is a white VW bug but there are also others.

    Some of the sound was dubbed, where the mics they were using didn't pick up a tire squeal or the engine noise they wanted. For instance, I read an interview with Bud Elkins (the guy who dumps his motorcycle during the highway scene) from some years ago where he mentioned blowing the rear end in a Mustang (the Mustang?) because he was beating on it to catch the right engine noises and shift noises for interior shots. But the majority of the noise you hear on screen is what they recorded live, while they were filming.
