Hi, My names Chad, and I'm addicted to Tacomas...
    Hi Chad (AA group reply)

I just bought my first tacoma on Friday April 2, 2010, and Im stumped.
This is getting to be a full time job researching websites and searching forums, trying to find the perfect lift for my 2010 taco.
Of course 6" is the nicest looking but from what Ive read and heard, the fastest wear and tear on your taco.
I think Ive come to the conclusion that the 4.5" RCD is the way to go for me, but I just found out that even the RCD requires notching of the cross member.
I guess the smartest thing is to go with a leveling kit or anything 1-3" max, to avoid any permanent mods or cutting. But to be honest I gotta go with at least 33's for off roading and just to have a bad ass look.
So I guess the main question is if I go with the 4.5" RCD which requires notching, should I just balls it and go for broke with the 6", or is it true that the 6" just destroys your taco (cv shafts, knuckles, brakes, etc.) way faster than normal and if so, is the RCD any better?
Maybe advise on the pros and cons of either lift.
Any input would be a big help.

Oh yah, this site is awesome.

Are you 2wd or 4wd? If 2 than go spindles. If 4 than I would just get some adjustable coilovers and set to 3" and get some UCA's.

I haven't heard all that much about the RCD lift so I'm not sure how it is.

Yea, would need to take off/ trim your mudflaps though as well as the inner fender area.

If you want to get your alignment within the correct specs you will need them with 3" of lift.

Yea, slightly over 3" in the front about 1.5" in the back. The back starts out an inch higher so now I have a slight rake in the front.
