Ok I am trying to get my 2nd Gen Tacoma on a legit lift and trying to build it out and I am pricing the OME-TAK Suspension Kit. But going down the list and I am finding all this additions and from the starting price of 800.00 kinda ending at close to 1600.00

My Tacoma is my daily driver. I have a custom built Bed Rack with a XL Ruggedized Kukenam on there constantly due to "Mobile Advertisement" we can talk pricing on those RTT's if you all like granting some discounts to buyers.

So my Tire Size are 285's on 16' rims. and I really don't want to have any rubbing. Again I am not going to be doing any really hard Crawling or anything like that. But I want a way smoother ride than I have with my PRO COMP. yes I got a PRO COMP 3' lift to start out, and I have learned my lesson. So I am trying to get a quality lift that will give me the best all around smoothest ride and performance I can get. I will be taking it on the dirt this isn't no Mall Crawler, usually do camping throughout the year. So let me know fellas... Need some advise and help.

886's are rated for extra weight up front (steel bumper/winch)

@ChadsPride yes I read that, but I am wondering would it getting that heavier duty coils make my ride stiffer?

@scottalot well I will not be running that set up till later down the road but was just trying to think ahead... for the future... so stay away till that time comes and then swap it out.

I ran 886s without any weight, I liked the ride. I ran 885s without weight as well, I again, liked the ride. It's a personal preference.

PM marie @HeadStrong Off-Road, also if the coils are rated for more weight they will ride stiff as fuck.

@scottalot Thanks man, I think I am going to do that... maybe start slowly... instead of dropping 1500-2000 on time...

    883, 884, 885, 887 are 590 lbs.

    886 is 660 lbs.

    OEM is 530 lbs (IIRC).

So the 885 must not be a 3' lift height

The only 3" rated coil is the 887.

    885/886 are both 2.5" approx.

Roughly 2-1/2 inches with 885's on a DC. Maybe slightly less on a long bed. 1/4" spacer is a must on driver side.

I've got the 620 eibachs which have a higher spring rate than 884s and 885s but softer than 886s. No extra weight as of yet but I plan to in the future. Ride is a small amount stiffer than stock but WAY better than my old spacer lift.

So is the 887 stiff like the 886 or no because its rated for a lower weight (its a 4runner coil)
