Can anyone tell me what the correct part number is for an 04 Tacoma 3.4l 4wd Auto.

Depending on where you look there all different. Some Toyota dealers say 16410-AZ050 is correct while others say 16410-AZ025. Which one is it?

Auto or manual transmission? They are different sizes depending on what transmission you have.

I don't know the correct part number but that's probably why youre seeing two options. Just need to figure out which is for auto and which is for manual

It's an auto. I know one radiator is taller then the other but I can't tell which is which and can't seem to find the correct information here either.

Looks to be a few different core sizes .

OP have you measured your core??

Go by core size and Auto Trans . If you want the same as you have .

Is that the taller or shorter one? Mine appears to be the longer one 22-5/8"

Honestly I don't know. This is what my parts catalog shows you use, but unfortunately it doesn't give any measurements. Hope this helps.

Thing is one never knows just what your going to find in older vehicles.

The VIN only tells you what was on the truck when it left the lot the first time.

If you're thinking about buying a TOYOTA radiator, beware of what most Toyota dealers are now offering/selling.

Over the phone from the parts person at my local dealer, heard that 16410-AZ___ radiator models are Southeast Toyota parts (not Toyota OEM). They are parts that dealers are now using to replace 16410-0C___ (Toyota OEM).

I paid $200 for 16410-0C042 at said local dealer, and received 16410-AZ025 instead. I asked my dealer why I received the cheaper part, and they said the original was discontinued.

I inspected said AZ radiator (appeared cheap), found no Toyota markings (maybe I didn't look hard enough), and returned it.

Went to AdvanceAuto and picked up the same radiator locally for $130, after discounts. ("LIMITED LIFETIME REPLACEMENT").

Below is a link showing said radiator 'options'. Pretty representative of most online dealer selections.
    https://www.sparksparts.com/search?search_str=radiatorassembly&make=&model=tacoma&year=2004&page_id=&page_url=

All this being said, I'm sure I'm partially incorrect and my dealership is partially incorrect and somebody isn't understanding something somewhere that made this happen.

The part numbers in bold are the factory radiators, the alternate part numbers are what Toyota calls "MVP," or Market Value Priced radiators. They are typically made in China by some cheaper radiator manufacturer "to Toyota's specs," and include the same service replacement warranty as the original service parts. That said, a lot of the original radiator part numbers are no longer available, so the MVP radiators are the only option from Toyota. Additionally, you can of course use the automatic radiators in a manual truck, just don't use the cooler ports.

It looks like 16410-0C014, 16410-0C024, 16410-0C032, and 16410-0C042 are no longer being produced. You can probably still find some Denso stock from places like Rockauto, but it looks like Denso has also stopped selling them as well.
