Hey all, I'm not saying I don't like them or anything, but what is all the buzz with the yellow fogs? It just seems like a pretty popular mod and I was wondering where it came from, what are their purpose, etc.

I kinda lied in my first post. I don't like how they look on a tacoma with the yellow lenses. Can one of you post pics of your fogs with clear lens, yellow bulb?

The first upgrade/change to my new 09 is yellow halogen fog lamps.:D

Any particulate in the air...dust, moisture, water, or snow...yellow is better and blue is worse.
This is caused by the wavelength of the light, blue is short and reflects, yellow is long and doesn't reflect.

It's a JDM thing =P but no seriously, it really helps in fog. They are also my DRL.

Its hard to find the bulbs at an auto store unless you go to an import tuner shop then yes they will have them best place is ebay thats where i got mine, to change the bulb just get under the truck look for the bulb turn it, it comes out make sure you do not touch the bulb. same process to put them back in turn it till it kind of locks into place
