what is the difference in 3TMMU and 5TFMU Tacomas? Place of manufacture?

I noticed on Carfax and toyota owner's my 09 and 1 of the 13's I am looking at are 3TMMU vin code trucks bescibed as base LB the other is vin 5TFMU and seems to have a more descriptive options list on the Toyota Owner's site yet makes no mention of it being a Sport

 

So by this, the "vehicle" is different as the third letter and country or origin: Texas versus Mexicali?

 

another interesting fact is that both 5TFMU trucks had the Canadian Maple leaf on the door tag and may have had heated seats from the factory with the cloth interior. Did the Canadians only get Texas trucks?

 

I think 3 = MX, 5 = Texas, but someone here will know for sure.

 

3 as the first number in the VIN = is Mexico
